Where is the money going and who is paying administrative and operating expenses for these inter-related "Pope" controlled Foundation’s. We're going to make every effort to find a clear picture. Maybe someone will come forward with the information we need. Is there a brave soul at the Foundations that can shed light on these questions?
Why are no 2006 Federal Tax Returns available? When will the 2007 Federal Tax Return be available to the public? WE HAVE THEM NOW and the financial picture does not look good!
Lois Pope (Co-Founder) and Victor Biggs (Executive Director of DVLMF) speak of different amounts raised by the Foundation. They refer to as pledges and commitments they have received. We know of one pledge of 3 million by Ross Perot but who are the other pledges and commitments from? Why not post this list or can these commitments and pledges be withdrawn? I have never spent a pledge or commitment at the grocery store!
There was a party last year, see how many disabled veterans attended. How many will be there this year (We'll see!)

Which Foundation pays for the "Gala Social Affair" and who does it honor? Who are these people in the first place?
They don't look like Veterans to us.
What is the financial connection between the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) and the DVLMF (Disabled Veterans LIFE Memorial Fund)? Has Mr. Arthur Wilson Co-Founder of the Memorial project and Board Member, who is the National Adjunct for DAV (which is CEO) made known to the organization he serves that about $0.90 of each dollar donated goes to administration, fundraising and other expenses as indicated on the tax returns. Did he make known the concerns of the independent study (see report) that the Foundation is overspending in their fundraising and has under estimated the cost to build out the project. Are there any conflicting interests in the relatioinship?
These are questions for donors to both organizations to ask and determine a clear financial picture.
Let’s all ask for the list of pledges and commitments. Write to Fredric Fenstermacher rfenstermacher@dvlmf.org and copy Lois Pope with your request lpope@dvlmf.org

THE MONEY HAS BEEN DONATED TO A VETERAN CAUSE NOT FOR THE USE OF A FEW TO PARTY WITH!!!!
